Mackowiak Elementary Education Scholarship Fund

This scholarship benefits students from Dunkirk High School pursuing a career in elementary education.

A bequest from the late Robert Mackowiak founded this scholarship that will benefit Dunkirk High School students pursuing a career in elementary education. Robert was a graduate of Dunkirk High School and the State University of New York at Fredonia. He was an elementary school teacher in the Hamburg area.

Eligibility
To be eligible, student must:
•    in need of financial aid
•    be involved in community service
•    hold a GPA between 80 and 100

Criteria
Selection of the scholarship recipients will be based upon:

•    student's commitment to pursuing a career in elementary education
•    student's enthusiasm and appreciation for the field of education
