Jim and Dolores Selan Memorial Scholarship
This award is presented to students in all high schools of Northern Chautauqua County who are enrolled at Cornell University or Syracuse University to study Forestry, and/or Ornithology, and/or environmental related subjects.
Application Process
Interested students should complete application and submit to their Guidance Department by April 1st.
Student must meet eligibility requirements.
Students must submit two letters of recommendation and their transcript of grades along with their application.
The Guidance Department should forward all applications received to the “Jim and Dolores Selan Scholarship Committee” c/o NCCF, 212 Lake Shore Drive West in Dunkirk, 14048 by April 15th.
Eligibility
Student must be graduating from one of the following school districts: Brocton, Cassadaga Valley, Chautauqua Lake, Dunkirk, Forestville, Fredonia, Silver Creek, or Westfield.
Criteria for selecting the recipients
Studying Forestry, and/or Ornithology, and/or environmental related subjects.
Accepted at Cornell University or Syracuse University.
Demonstrated a positive attitude.
Graduated in the top third of the class.
