The Beverly Ann Wood Edelmann Memorial Scholarship will be awarded annually.

Application Process

1. Interested students must submit a one-page typed personal statement that discusses their plans and dreams beyond high school and how this scholarship will help them achieve their goals.

2. Students will provide two letters of recommendation from teachers, coaches, supervisors, or other individuals (excluding family members) in a leadership role.

Who is eligible to apply?
(must meet all requirements)

1. Senior students graduating from Chautauqua Lake Secondary School, Sherman High School, or Westfield Academy & Central School who attended their high school at a minimum for their junior and senior years.

2. Students accepted at an accredited two or four-year secondary program as a full-time student.

3. Students who have earned a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher.

What are the criteria for selecting the recipients?

1. Preference will be given to students who have participated in high school and/or community activities.

2. Strong work ethic.

3. Willingness to sacrifice for others and the greater good.

4. Kindness to others.

5. Evidence of the qualities listed above through letters of recommendation.

6. Content and sincerity of personal statement as part of the application process.
