Benson-Cash Family Scholarship

This scholarship was created to lessen the hardship of a family while trying to make a better life through higher education. It will provide assistance to those in the workforce returning to school. 

Although the Benson family is establishing this scholarship, it could not have been possible without the assistance of the late sister and aunt, Patricia Cash, the scholarship's benefactor.

Who is eligible to apply?
(must meet all requirements)

1. Students currently in or who have recently left the workforce applying for college or a trade school to either begin or further their education.

Examples:
a) obtaining a higher education was not possible right out of high school due to money and/or family obligations;
b) retraining for a new position within the current company;
c) applying for career advancement within current or new company;
d) seeking new career path due to position elimination;
e) working to fulfill current job’s revised educational requirements (i.e. position now requires a bachelors vs an associates degree).

2. Residents of northern Chautauqua County.

Application is due by April 1st.
