Join us during the week of November 12-18, 2018 in promoting Community Foundation Week. The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF), along with over 795 community foundations in the United States, is celebrating local philanthropy and community building.
It is remarkable that right here in northern Chautauqua County, we have $27 million in charitable resources to enrich our community. Established in 1986, the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation has provided grants and scholarships totaling more than $14 million.
That kind of charitable investment was possible because of early leaders who believed that local philanthropy was a way to ensure the community’s growth and longevity. These leaders and the board members who followed them deserve our community’s thanks.
Our strength continues because of our donors who believe that giving together is more powerful than giving alone and that with the power of endowment, those gifts can keep giving in greater amounts over time. Those donors are your friends, neighbors, colleagues, and acquaintances. They all share a love of this community.
Individuals and couples who wish to leave a lasting legacy right here in northern Chautauqua County have included their community foundation in their estate plans. This meaningful type of gift will provide for our communities in the future and will make a difference for generations to come.
As we celebrate National Community Foundation Week, we thank the thousands of individuals, couples, families, businesses, and organizations who have made the good work of the NCCF possible. To show our gratitude, we invite the community to our annual Community Foundation Week Open House on Friday, November 16, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the SUNY Fredonia Technology Incubator, 214 Central Avenue, Dunkirk.
