Students Thankful for Scholarships

NCCF is home to over 200 scholarship funds. Last year, over $278,000 was granted to local students. We receive many thank you notes from these students, but the real thanks go to our donors. Here are just a few that we've received recently:

"Dear NCCF and Mark Gugino Memorial Committee,

Thank you so much for this scholarship opportunity. Being in Key Club and serving my community with Kiwanis has been one of my favorite experiences in high school. I can’t wait to start my new journey at SUNY Fredonia and start a circle-K chapter with my friends to continue serving the community and partner with Kiwanis. I am so grateful for the kindness the foundation and committee have shown me to help pay for my tuition and other expenses. Thank you for believing in and supporting me!”

“Dear NCCF,

Thank you so much for choosing me as the recipient of the Edna Kofoed Scholarship. She sounds like she was an amazing woman and it is an honor to receive this award in her memory. It’s so special to get this from a Ripley teacher. This money will definitely help with the costs as I begin my journey as a speech-language pathologist.”

“NCCF Scholarship Committee:

The Lorna B. Penny Scholarship has influenced my college experience by easing the financial burden associated with expenses like textbooks, a laptop, and additional fees. I am very grateful for the money and would like to thank anyone involved in this scholarship. I will graduate from Westminster College in Pennsylvania next Spring with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a math minor. After graduation, I plan to pursue a master’s degree in business administration at Westminster before attending medical school. Thank you again!”
