Family Establishes the Terry Frazier Sr. No One Fights Alone Scholarship Fund

The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation is proud to welcome The Terry Frazier Sr. No One Fights Alone Scholarship Fund. The Frazier family established this fund to honor Terry Frazier Sr., and to assist students whose life has been impacted and forever changed because of cancer. Dunkirk City School and Fredonia Central School graduates will be eligible for this scholarship.

Terry was a two-time cancer survivor (Prostate Cancer in 2009 and Sinus Cancer in 2010). He was aware of the misfortune and stress that accompany a cancer diagnosis. The family specifically designed this scholarship to help local high school graduates who have felt this type of worry to remind them that No One Fights Alone.

The Frazier family wishes to thank everyone who has contributed to this fund to honor Terry. They believe that when one person in your family has cancer, the entire family and everyone who loves them has cancer too. Terry was excited about establishing this scholarship as he was very hometown proud! He loved this small community. His family is grateful that Terry could read the well-wishes and share the excitement of the growth of the scholarship before his passing. Sadly, he lost his third battle with cancer on August 24.  His family looks forward to bestowing this scholarship to local high school seniors for many years to come.

“His legacy is etched into the minds of all who knew him and will continue through the stories we will tell about him,” said his daughter, Jonelle Frazier. “The Terry Frazier Sr. No One Fights Alone Scholarship will continue to help us to heal as we show our support to others who have been touched by cancer. The scholarship application essay provides an outlet for them to their tell story about how cancer has touched their lives. In addition to the scholarship, the awardee will also receive a quarterly care package from the family to show support and encouragement.”
