The Fix Your Feline Fund, a fund of the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF), announces a partnership with Dunkirk Animal Clinic to provide free feline spay and neutering clinics to low-income individuals. The Fix Your Feline Fund was created in 2012 to address the issue of feline overpopulation in the Dunkirk and Fredonia communities by providing assistance to pet owners.
The Dunkirk Animal Clinic will schedule appointments on one Thursday per month, four cats per month. The clinics begin at 8 a.m. and owners must pick up their cat that same afternoon. This service is provided on a first come, first served basis through the Fix Your Feline Fund.
Individuals interested in this program need to complete an application. Applications are available by calling NCCF at 716-366-4892, e-mailing nccf@nccfoundation.org, going online at www.nccfoundation.org/fix-your-feline-fund, or visiting the office at 212 Lake Shore Drive West, Dunkirk. Completed applications are to be returned to NCCF at the above address or by fax at 716-366-3905. Once approved, the applicant is responsible for contacting the Dunkirk Animal Clinic for an appointment.
As monies available through the Fix Your Feline Fund are limited, tax-deductible contributions to the fund are welcomed. Donations can be sent to NCCF, 212 Lake Shore Drive West, Dunkirk N.Y. 14048 or online at www.nccfoundation.org/fix-your-feline-fund.
